Reading Charts and Graphs

Many people believe “a picture is worth a thousand words,” which is why charts and graphs can be very helpful when gathering information! A chart shows information, usually in rows and columns, and a graph shows how one type of information relates to another. They use colors, numbers, shapes, and words to make data come alive, which readers experience firsthand in this volume.
